IN MEMORIAM MATIAS
A TRIBUTE CONCERT
On 12 September 2026, we came together for a memorial concert celebrating the life and enduring legacy of Matias de Oliveira Pinto, in the year he would have turned 66. As a gifted cellist, devoted teacher, and inspiring mentor, Matias touched the lives of so many. To honour his memory, a collective of his former students performed a programme dedicated entirely to works for cello ensemble — the rich, warm sounds of the instrument he loved so deeply, played by those whose musical journeys he helped shape. Thank you to everyone who joined us, in person and online, for this evening of music, remembrance, and gratitude.
